Don't forget that there is a hollow stump in front of the lighthouse when you get off the boat with gold in it. I made a new one with armor and weapons that I made that full fills all needs so you start with everything to make it when you first start the game! You will need to consider what race and class you want when you get started if you make your own!

Please don't say it was ugly or slow! For it's time it was beautiful and very good! I happen to have built my own computer and it played the game very smooth! Even with my expansions and mods! Yes, I built the "Alphaga" Mods! That have been downloaded 178,000 times as of last check. Morrowind is one of the best games ever!

The Atronach birthsign was in oblivion too, it’s the best one, gives you 300 mana points as well. It’s extremely good because the amount of ways you can recharge your mana; Potions, absorption, Alyid wayshrines and temples (which can be found in every major city)

I'd likely have agreed to spare Saverok to give him a chance at redemption. It feels like we're hurrying to the finale now. For some reason I always assumed there'd be much more to do once you reached Baldur's Gate itself.

Yes, it's been an entertaining journey. When I reach the end of this let's play I may even buy the Enhanced Edition for myself and give this game another go.

A frustrating return to Candlekeep.

Haste is so overpowered. It solved a lot of problems for me in Icewind Dale. Ah yes, the 'good' folk of Candlekeep, who wouldn't let you back in again after Gorion was killed because they 'value their serenity'. Even playing as a good aligned character, I'd be inclined to be cool and aloof in my dealings with the residents there.

This is all new to me. I was on the threshold of the city when I stopped playing, and even though I meant to continue my adventure some day, I never did go back again. The size (or implied size) of the city was a little overwhelming. And it feels like the guard captain here is in your face all the time. Meeting with Dukes and high ranking members of the guards so soon after entering does feel like bad pacing.

It does sound like a variant of other riddles whose answer is 'death'. It's clumsily written though. Not exactly Tolkien. In my single, partial playthrough I explored much of the western map before and immediately after the mines. I'm wondering now if I mightn't have made a mistake doing it that way. Maybe I should've rushed off to do the mines first and the exploration later?

Exploration episodes are my favourites. It was the same with the Morrowind playthrough too. That chicken quest. There was something similar in Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga, but you got an achievement if you killed it instead of freeing it.

lol at those dead slaves 🤣 I have the Dark Alliance games for PS2 as well as the similar Champions of Norrath games. I'll need to figure out how to connect ye olde PS2 to a 4k telly if I want to play them again though.

It's always fun to puzzle over hard encounters in games like this. Much better than mindlessly steamrolling everything you meet. I'd make more use of stealth to scout out the area beforehand.

It sounds like your fellow party members don't like you very much. Imoen in particular isn't enjoying herself at all. 'I've done had enuff of this'... If I'd known it was so easy to advance the story at such a low level I wouldn't have dwelt on side quests and xp farming so much, and likely wouldn't have got burnt out when I reached the main city.

It's annoying how the narration of the dreams doesn't keep pace with the words on the screen. Making good progress though. I spent much longer wading through side quests before I even thought of investigating the mines.

Imagine not stocking up on health potions. Ellesime is a beautiful elven queen with a fair face and long golden tresses. I wonder if you'll recognise the name when you're further along in the game.

Neverwinter Nights has a pretty awful original campaign. The expansions were better but it's the fan-made modules that are truly worth your while. A Dance With Rogues being my favourite. Viconia, Minsc, Dynaheir and the monk guy all sound German or Russian.
